At McKinzie Pest Control we believe prevention is better than cure.  It is better to take preventive measures to ensure that pests will not have the opportunity to enter and develop populations in your home or business.  While we promote sanitation and mechanical exclusion, we recognize that these measures alone are often not enough to prevent pest populations from invading and infesting your home or business.

Company Profile:
McKinzie Pest Control is a regional company with offices in Manhattan and Emporia, Kansas.  Vernon McKinzie founded the Emporia Kansas office in 1960.  A Board Certified Entomologist and graduate of the University of Kansas in 1959.    He is nationally recognized in our industry having received the Leadership Award as one of the top 10 people in the Pest Control Industry.  He has served as President of both the State and National Pest Control Associations and as a member of the Kansas Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Board of Directors.  He has also served on the Lyon County Commission.

Steve McKinzie, President and CEO began working for the company while in High School and joined the firm full time in 1980, after receiving his degree in Biology and Business from Emporia State University.  He has twice served as President of the Kansas Pest Control Association, and has served as chairman of their Government Affairs Committee.  He is also a member of the Leadership Development Group for the National Pest Control Association and has served on the Sentricon Advisory Council for North America.
